Therapy to help you face what’s holding you back, reconnect with yourself, and move toward the life you want.

At Ignite Counseling, we believe meaningful change starts from within. Therapy is a place to understand your patterns, challenge the fears keeping you stuck, and build the confidence to live more freely.

Ignite the Fire Within

GREAT TO MEET YOU

Hi, I’m Bianca, LMHC

Close-up of a young woman with long, wavy brown hair and light brown eyes, smiling softly at the camera.

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the founder of Ignite Counseling.

I created Ignite around a simple idea: there is already something within you worth fighting for. Sometimes anxiety, OCD, fear, disordered eating, or difficult life experiences can make that part of you feel buried. Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, build the skills to navigate what you’re facing, and learn how to move forward even when fear tells you not to.

I specialize in OCD, anxiety, fear-based disorders and phobias (including flight and travel anxiety) as well as eating disorders and disordered eating.

My approach is practical, skills-based, and tailored to you. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness, helping clients better understand their thoughts and emotions while developing concrete tools for distress tolerance, emotion regulation, coping, and navigating difficult situations. When working with OCD or phobias, I incorporate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help clients gradually face fears and reduce the patterns that keep anxiety in control.

I’m warm, honest, and direct. I won’t ask you to simply “think positive” or tell you that you shouldn’t be afraid. Instead, we’ll work together to understand what’s happening, identify the patterns keeping you stuck, and build the skills and confidence to respond differently. The goal isn’t to never feel anxious, uncomfortable, or overwhelmed, it’s to know what to do when those feelings arise.

Before founding Ignite Counseling, I spent years working with children, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, OCD, disordered eating, identity, relationships, and major life transitions in various settings. Those experiences shaped the way I practice today: with compassion, curiosity, and a genuine belief that you are capable of more than fear may be telling you.

MY APPROACH

Therapy Works Best as a Partnership

That is how I approach every session. We figure out together what is most useful, and you stay an active voice in shaping the pace and direction of your own care. My goal is to help you build skills you can rely on long after therapy ends, not just manage symptoms in the moment.

WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

Session Formats

Individual Therapy

One-on-one weekly sessions, and the format most of my work happens in. We build a treatment plan around what you actually came in for, and adjust it as we go.

Couples Therapy

For partners navigating conflict, anxiety, infidelity that has started living in the relationship. We begin with separate sessions before coming together.

Family Therapy

Family work for parenting, conflict, eating disorders and psychoeducational sessions that help parents understand what accommodation looks like and how to step back from it.
